Today Heidi and I decided to go to Hukilau Beach to get some sun and ended up getting more than we thought. This is just the slight pink that was an after effect of the beach day. Now it is about 2 shades pinker. Oh well, hopefully it well turn into a tan that all of you will be envious of by the time I get back ;)
After the beach Heidi and I went to the activity of the night on campus, BYUH Idol. Heidi's roommate was singing in the competition and she was amazing! No offense to her, but she is just a tiny asian girl but when she sings, she has the voice of Elphaba from Wicked, its crazy! Who would have guessed! Three of the guys singing in the competition sang disney songs, A Whole New World, You'll Be In My Heart, and Go the Distance. It was pretty awesome. And then this guy came up wearing a monk's robe with the hood covering his face, and he started saying this catholic sounding prayer, and then he took off his robe to reveal NACHO LIBRE! He had bright blue spandex and all! He sang some weird song that was in the movie, more messing around then actually singing, making awkward poses (showing off the spandex in a sly way) throughout his whole performance and also making random "nacHOOOOOO!!!!" yells. The judges were speechless for about ten minutes, trying to gain their composure but it took awhile. It was hilarious. Here is a picture, sorry it is hard to see but its the best I could do with my phone. You can see the blue spandex and the judges table. Ah...the college life :)

Ashley you look fabulous! I couldn't tell you were pink! You really do look so pretty in your picture! Fun times at college, certainly memorable night it sounds like. I'm excited to hear about more of your activities; there are a lot of fun and creative and certainly talented people out there. I love the details LOL!
